About Us

Guiding an educational institution in the right direction is a challenging task in today’s world. Building upon three decades of success, Ramakrishna Vidyakendra Samyukta Pre-University College was inaugurated on 27 May 2015.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the President of Belur Math, Swami Gautamananda, along with Shivaratri Deshikendra Mahaswami and Swami Muktidananda.

Since its establishment, the college has maintained high academic and spiritual standards. It provides modern facilities necessary for the holistic development of students, including:

• A well-stocked library
• Modern science laboratories
• Multimedia and smart classrooms
• Sports facilities
• Cultural and extracurricular activity spaces
• CCTV surveillance for student safety

Experienced lecturers guide students not only academically but also in moral values and personality development. Students from various parts of the state are now enrolling in the institution. The Pre-University College has also been recognized as an authorized examination centre for the past three years.

For about 13 years, Prof. K. P. Mahadevappa served the institution as Executive Officer. Later, Prof. K. M. Mahadevappa served as the Principal of the college. In recent years, Prof. G. Chandrashekhar — who retired after 38 years of service at Vidyavardhaka First Grade College — served as Executive Officer for three years and currently shoulders greater responsibility as the President of the Association.

Hostel and Transport Facilities

The institution’s development has also been strengthened by the support of Mrs. V. P. Savita, President of Pranamya Educational Trust. She has partnered with the Sangha to provide hostel facilities and essential amenities for around 150 students, both boys and girls.

What began with just 15 students has now grown to 325 students studying in the Pre-University College. Much of the credit for this remarkable growth goes to the dedicated efforts of Mrs. V. P. Savita and her team.

Introduction

Affiliated with the Department of School Education (Pre-University), the institution is committed to delivering accessible, affordable, and high-quality education to aspiring students.

The college offers state-of-the-art infrastructure, including spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a fully stocked library, and extensive sports facilities. Academically, we provide diverse streams such as:

• Science – PCMB & PCMC

• Commerce – EBACS

Special Note

This institution is ably managed by the devoted members of Ramakrishna Ashram. The Sri Ramakrishna Seva Sangha was established in 1988 under the guidance of the revered Swamiji of Ramakrishna Ashram.

The Sangha actively conducts free medical camps and works tirelessly toward its noble mission: providing quality education at nominal fees, especially for students from middle-class and below middle-class families.

Over the years, numerous alumni have excelled in diverse professional fields, earning recognition across various competitive domains. Their achievements stand as a testament to the strong academic foundation and value-based education imparted at our college.

Fee Concession & Incentives

At RKVK Composite PU College, we believe that financial constraints should never become a barrier to quality education. In keeping with this commitment, fee concessions are offered to I PU students based on their academic performance in the previous examination:

• Students scoring above 95%

• Students scoring between 90% and 95%

• Students scoring between 85% and 90%

These concessions are awarded as a recognition of merit and to encourage students to strive for academic excellence.

Support for Economically Weaker Students

The management of RKVK, known for its generosity and commitment to social responsibility, extends additional fee concessions to economically disadvantaged students. This initiative ensures that deserving students from financially challenged backgrounds can continue their education without interruption.

Cash Incentives for Meritorious Students

To further motivate and reward excellence, the management also provides cash incentives to outstanding performers in both Science and Commerce streams. These incentives serve as encouragement for students to consistently aim higher and achieve their fullest potential.
