International Yoga Day Celebration – 21 June 2026

Ramakrishna Vidya Kendra enthusiastically celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 June 2026 with the theme “Yoga for Healthy Aging.” The programme was organized to create awareness among students and staff about the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle throughout life. The celebration commenced with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of International Yoga Day and the benefits of yoga in daily life. This was followed by a session of various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques. Students and teachers actively participated in the activities and experienced the positive effects of yoga on concentration, flexibility, and overall health. The programme emphasized the vital role of yoga in promoting healthy aging and encouraged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routine. The event concluded successfully with a pledge by all participants to adopt a healthier, more balanced, and disciplined lifestyle through regular yoga practice.

AI Training Program Conducted for Teaching Staff at Ramakrishna School and Ramakrishna PU College

An Artificial Intelligence (AI) training program for the teaching staff of Ramakrishna School and Ramakrishna PU College was successfully held on the 20th at the college premises. The program was organized with reference to the Central Government’s flagship initiative, the Atal Innovation Mission. The training session was conducted by Mr. Sanjay Ahuja, who provided insights and awareness on various Central Government flagship initiatives under the Atal Innovation Mission. The session aimed to familiarize faculty members with the fundamentals and applications of Artificial Intelligence in education, encouraging innovative teaching practices and enhanced classroom engagement. The teaching staff actively participated and showed keen interest throughout the program. The event was formally addressed and inaugurated by Prof. G. Chandrashekar, President of Ramakrishna School and College. He was accompanied by the College Principal, School Headmistress, along with the entire teaching and administrative staff. The program concluded with positive feedback from participants, highlighting its relevance in integrating emerging technologies into the education system.

Empowering Students Through Academic Excellence and Values As teachers, it is our responsibility to make our students’ future more rewarding and fulfilling. With this vision, the Science Department of Ramakrishna College, in collaboration with Scientia Edventures, has taken a progressive step, under the guidance of the college management, to enhance students’ performance in CET, NEET, and JEE coaching while ensuring excellence in the regular academic curriculum. During this period, the Swamiji Benedictory Address – 2026 was organized on the college campus. Srimat Swami Gauthamanandaji Maharaj delivered an inspiring discourse, enlightening students, faculty, and devotees with his wisdom and spiritual guidance. He blessed the gathering during the devotees’ meet organized by Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, a branch centre of Sri Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math. His motivating message encouraged students to pursue academic excellence while upholding strong moral and spiritual values.

Orientation Programme – A.Y 2026-2027

A Welcome Day Programme was organized for the First PUC students of Ramakrishna Residential PU College, Ramakrishna Nagar, on 25th Monday. The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the students and was conducted with great enthusiasm and inspiration. The programme commenced with Sri C. Shivappa, Principal of Ramakrishna PU College, formally welcoming the dignitaries and guests to the dais. The event was graced by the auspicious presence of Sri Swamy Mukthidhanandji Maharaj of Ramakrishna Ashram. The presidential address was delivered by Sri Pape Gowda and Prof. G. Chandrashekhar, Executive Officer of Ramakrishna PU College. The chief guest, Prof. K. S. Rangappa, internationally renowned scientist and former Vice-Chancellor of Mysore University and Karnataka State Open University, inspired the students with his valuable thoughts and guidance, motivating them to strive for academic excellence and personal growth.
